Watch our documentary here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuFv4iF8wgg&t=1s Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment. We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted ;) So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world. Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this channel to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going. 4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time! After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are in our 9TH YEAR of finding the best adventures the world has to offer :) We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey! 00:00 Canada's longest train! 01:40 day 1: Prestige Class room tour 10:46 day 2: Rocky Mountains 18:12 day 3: full train tour! 26:42 day 4: first shower ;) 30:58 day 5: last day! 32:08 bloops :)

100 Hours in The Philippines 🇵🇭 Epic FILIPINO STREET FOOD in Cebu, Bacolod & More!
The Philippines, an archipelago of over 7000 islands known for its beautiful beaches, friendly locals and in my opinon Asia's most underrated food! The food here is full of flavour, fresh, smokey, sweet, exotic… There is so much more to Filipino cuisine than just adobo. Welcome to Chopstick Travel, I'm Luke Martin. This is a film I made with over 100 hours of filming across some of The Philippines most famous food destinations from the chaotic capital of Manila, to the pristine jungles of Palawan, to the laid-back vibe of Cebu and the food heaven which is the city Bacolod. Everyone knows the best way to dive deep into any countries culture or cuisine is with the help of locals. We’re kicking things off in the biggest city in the Central Visayas, Cebu. With the help of my local Cebuano friend Paolo we’re going to uncover the true taste of Cebu ______________________ I'm Luke Martin, food lover and world traveller! I make videos about local, authentic and unique foods from across the globe. I particularly like to sample street food across Asia. I’ve eaten my way across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, parts of Africa, North America and the list is still growing! My mission is to create content that is entertaining, informative, honest and fun! I love what I do and I'm always grateful for your support! Couple Living in a Yurt as a Simple & Affordable Tiny House Alternative
Leah and Joe are an adventurous couple who moved from a log cabin into a skoolie, and then into a yurt! They are now living full-time in a tiny yurt with their two black cats in Ontario, Canada. The yurt is 20' in diameter and 314 square feet on the interior, the round structure is made of white pine lattice walls and roof rafters, and it is covered with wool felt insulation, a vapour barrier, and a canvas cover on the exterior. You can follow and find out more about Leah and Joe's yurt life adventures, and find out about the yurt rentals they're planning to set up on their land on Facebook and Instagram here: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61555845030001 https://www.instagram.com/mindful_makwa Joe and Leah's yurt is a 20' Mongolian Yurt (or super ger). These beautiful yurts are made in Mongolia and are distributed by Groovy Yurts. You can check them out here: https://www.groovyyurts.com/ At the time of filming, Leah and Joe had only been living in the yurt for 5 months, but they had already built a massive deck, set up their yurt as a cozy home, built an outhouse, brought in an electrical panel, built a woodshed and outdoor shower, and had a well drilled. Their future plans include adding a septic system, and building a comfort station with an indoor shower and toilet, and they're also looking into setting up a small yurt resort so that folks can visit the First Nation reserve where they live, and experience living and sleeping in a yurt. CARTA: The Recent History of Piercing Practices in Europe and North America
Across continents, material evidence of body piercing jewelry abounds in the archeological record. However, the varying procedures and processes of piercing, healing, and stretching these wounds for adornment remains unfamiliar to most archeologists. This talk discusses the early self-experimentations that led to the development of the Euro-American body piercing industry. From the late 19th throughout the 20th centuries shared personal correspondence, illustrations, and photographs document the adaptations, innovations, successes, and failures that came to coalesce a current community’s collective knowledge. Understanding the processes of these secretive explorations provides insights into many of the cross-cultural practices of the past for which no clear records remain. Encounter the African elephant, and the great egret, and witness the power of the Nile crocodile. This is your chance to experience the magic of the African savanna in unparalleled 8K UHD detail. Nestled in the heart of Botswana, Khwai and Moremi Game Reserve offers an unparalleled safari experience. This vast reserve encompasses the eastern fringes of the Okavango Delta, showcasing diverse habitats from lush mopane woodlands to permanent wetlands. The abundance of water attracts a remarkable array of wildlife, from iconic predators like lions and cheetahs to graceful antelope and a dazzling array of birdlife. Whether you encounter a pride of stalking lions, a playful troop of baboons, or a majestic herd of elephants, Khwai and Moremi promises an unforgettable encounter with Africa's untamed beauty. Our filmmaker Robert Hofmeyr told a little about this trip: “ During our two-week trip, we explored the Khwai concession and Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana. Moremi Game Reserve, bordering the Khwai River, covers the eastern part of the Okavango Delta. Although Khwai is not a national park, no fences around Moremi allow animals to roam freely. Visiting in August, during the dry season, we focused on the Khwai River and Third Bridge areas. The region is renowned for its wildlife, particularly wild dogs and leopards. Filming the wild dogs was challenging due to their constant movement while hunting. We used a Blackmagic Ursa 12K with a Canon 200-400mm lens for filming but missed the pre-record function found in Red cameras. The highlight was observing a pack of wild dogs and their pups near Third Bridge in Moremi. We also had the opportunity to film from a mokoro, a dugout canoe, using a DJI RS2 for stability and a wide-angle lens.” Species: Lioness 00:00:00 African Buffalo 00:09:09 Giraffe 00:15:45 Lechwe 00:24:59 Baboon 00:36:49 Northern red-billed hornbill 00:38:47 Zebras 00:39:08 Great White Pelican 00:39:35 Common Tsessebe 00:45:48 Baboon infant 00:54:10 Wildbeasts and Zebras 00:57:53 Red hartebeest 01:06:07 Impalas 01:07:00 Little bee-eater 01:07:33 Blacksmith lapwing 01:15:12 Yellow-billed stork 01:15:46 Grey heron 01:16:30 Mangrove heron 01:17:21 Hamerkop 01:17:29 Waterbuck 01:22:33 Impalas 01;29:22 Lion 01:35:24 Jackal 01:40:05 Springbok 01:41:01 Giraffe 01:42:56 African wild dogs 01:44:32 Wattled crane 01:55:16 Woolly-necked stork 01:56:08 Central African rock python 02:01:23 Cheetah 02:03:45 African elephant 02:17:22 Great egret 02:18:06 African Buffalo 02:29:49 Hippos 03:01:18 Wels catfish 03:04:28 Little bee-eater 03:06:32 African sacred ibis and Great Egret 03:23:34 African jacana 03:26:06 Coppery-tailed coucal 03:29:26 Pied kingfisher 03:30:48 Spur-winged goose 03:36:52 Southern ground hornbill 03:57:10 African wild dog 04:07:34 African fish eagle 04:27:02 Nile crocodile 04:58:28 Southern ground hornbill 05:10:07 Lioness 06:07:04 Meves's starling 06:15:52 Video from: #Khwai And #MoremiGameReserve, Botswana, South Africa Video title: Wildlife of Botswana Khwai And Moremi Game Reserve Time of filming: 2023 Equipment used: Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro 12K camera with Canon EF 200-400mm f/4LIS USM lens and Red Comodo 6K camera with Canon 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM I ART 013 lens, and also, DJI Mavic drone.
